just been having a little laugh lately, thinking that it would serve all the beaver-tail wetsuit wearers i've seen much better to just cut the flopping, nonfunctional thing off.

not to be taken too seriously.

stoked to bring on some laughter!

surf fashion cops!?? oh no!

not cops, more like fur trappers. beavertail flaps/pelts are going for high dollar on the black market right now, and are expected to be the "in" thing on the fashion runways of new york and paris next year. in this era of high gas prices, etc., it's a great way to supplement your income, all while getting a surf session in at the same time.

So funny,

You are so on a roll with this.

Although I must come out as opposed to the beaver tail traps that insnare the poor beaver tail wearer and then, in some cases, they must chew their own tail off to free themselves!

ha! see the "kids in the hall" vid in "all in a good day's work" post.

Just as Doctors now believe that the appendix is not just some useless piece of tissue, waiting to rupture, scientists now believe that the beaver tail serves a function. They theorize that it might be some sort of harmonic stabilization device which is activated by strong offshore winds. One thing is certain--they are not to be removed under any circumstance.

thank you for passing along the info about the Offshore-Induced-Beavertail-Hardon-Theory. in careful consideration of this scientific development, all Union members were called to a vote. the results were unanimously in favor of continued removal. reasoning being... with all the overcrowded lineups, especially during offshore winds, it's in the best interest of all surfers to level the playing field when it comes to offshore wind alerts.

there is, however, one functional use of the beavertail that is Union approved. if snapped to the vest front, as originally designed to do, they serve as great man-diapers out in the lineup. keep our oceans blue!
