Is BS! one-dimensional-shortboard-hero-worship-surfporn? Hardly. The film is layered, multi-dimensional, funny, entertaining, and in some sequences very beautiful. The surfers are intense but refreshingly candid, relaxed, and humble. Alternative surf craft enthusiasts may be guilty of contempt prior to investigation in regards to BS!, but they are missing out on a thought provoking visual treat full of chuckles and subversive wit. The editing is superb and the music resonates in all the sequences, in some cases with an almost mind altering intensity. On the other hand, hardcore performance porn junkies won’t be disappointed: there is some serious ripping in this film. If I were to recommend a “longboard” film to a “shortboarder” I’d say watch The Seedling. If I were to recommend a “shortboard” film to a “longboarder” I’d say watch BS!.

That Mitch Coleborn surfing is perhaps the most incredible surfing I have ever seen. He surfs like he wears straps. Incredible, even in the big windy stuff. They look like a nice bunch of kids to work with. Dusty really had the same style as his Dad which was really cool. That big wave footage was incredible. The Nor Cal stuff was great too, nice style. Ozzie is so classic, it’s no wonder he keeps breaking bones in his body. The whole film was super watchable, well paced, edited beautifully, great music. I hope people enjoy it, the surfing will blow their minds, blew me out."

For all you Hollywood/Silverlake/Echo Park hipster surfers, you can get it at Amoeba Music too. So totally worth it, best bit is that end segment really.
i was curious where my hipster self would buy it? now i know. thanks.
really interesting stuff seeing Burch on different stuff. his comment on Jeff Beck's (nine lights) craftsmanship is right on.
Mitch Coleburn is an alien.
all together a top movie that satisfies a wide audience.
you forgot to list PT in the riders.
(even though he's not a feature that part is priceless)
Thanks tons Kirk & Dogleg. PT... agreed... brain fart fixed.
wow!
that RK review is on point.
