BURCH MEETS BECK, BECK MEETS BURCH

.
.
Yesterday, in the yard of open minds... Jeff Beck and Ryan Burch met for the first time at Burch's:
.

.
Sharing general notes on finless planing alongside finless foam board by Jake Moss.

.

.
Continued discussion... comparing field notes about the Nine Lights comp-sand Alaia inspired board #1.
.

.
Checkin' out a couple of the boards Burch just shaped for an order— Fish and finless Ronald #2.
.

.
Below, 5'7" shaped by Burch for himself... Stubby inspired in outline & singlefin, Simmons inspired in bottom foils. This is the board he is riding finless in last week's post.
.

.
I rode this board a week ago with a 9" greenough 4a in it... smooth sailin'. Here's a flex-fin Burch just foiled for it.

Totally agree with WJ about the fin

yeah, it was really good to get them together. yep, the fin is approximately 11". tons of twang— more than enough to furrow KP's brow if he saw someone bending it by hand.

i must say on a related note..
the PG nail fin is TOP!
They really honed the flex big.
Really responsive.
